Overview

Monarch operates as a limited partnership that manages hedge fund strategies for institutional clients. The firm registered with the SEC in 2012 and is organized both as a domestic entity and with individual ownership. Its business model combines advisory and commodity pool/CTA activities: Monarch provides portfolio management for pooled investment vehicles and for businesses or institutions, and it also functions as a sponsor, general partner, or managing member of pooled vehicles. Monarch charges a mix of asset-based fees and performance fees. It does not present itself as a capital allocator, does not identify as an active ESG investor, and is not registered as a multi-state adviser.
