Overview

Honolulu Capital Management is a small, individual-owned investment adviser organized as an LLC that provides fee-based portfolio management to individuals, families and smaller institutional clients. The firm charges a percentage-of-AUM fee and focuses its client work on discretionary and largely non-discretionary portfolio management for individual and small business clients as well as for business or institutional accounts. Investment activity shows a clear preference for listed equities — exchange-traded instruments are the dominant exposure — but the firm supplements public-market equity exposure with allocations to third-party alternative managers across several strategies. Honolulu Capital Management does not position itself as an ESG investor, it is not registered as a multi-state adviser, and it does not act as a capital allocator or pension consultant.
