Overview

Fortress Investment Group is a multi-strategy investment manager organized as a limited liability company and registered with the SEC since 2004. The firm operates across hedge fund, private equity, real estate, securitized asset and other alternative strategies and serves principally institutional clients. Its business model combines principal fund management with advisory roles: it acts as a commodity pool operator/commodity trading advisor, manages pooled investment vehicles and institutional portfolios, and selects sub-advisers where appropriate.
